Free Summer Walk and Talk Challenge From Marathon Kids

Summer is a great time for families to get outside, explore new environments and  connect in unique ways. One way to get kids talking is through exercise. This summer Marathon Kids is helping families connect with a free summer Walk and Talk Challenge.

Created with the important social-emotional (SEL) connection in mind, the Walk and Talk Challenge is a set of 26 topics created by family physician Dr. Deborah Gilboa, as well as a mileage log. Each topic matches up with a mile of walking or running. After 26(.2) miles, participants will have completed the equivalent of a full marathon, and have gotten to know each other a little better in the process! Topics cover a broad range — health, education, friendship, knock-knock jokes — and appropriate for children of all ages. Encourage parents to register and participate today.
